Any business wanting to get ahead of competitors and staying ahead must read this book. It’s a fascinating insight into why businesses such as Apple, Harley-Davidson and Southwest Airlines blew away their competitors and continue to do so. It’s message “People don’t buy WHAT you do, they buy WHY you do it”. Like many other accounting firms have done, we were was considering a change of name to include the words “Business Advisers”. After reading this book, we realise that advising is, in the main, responsive. It only deals with the now to solve a problem or set down a course of action. For ATS Accountants, the WHY is TO EDUCATE BUSINESS TO EXCEL. Our client meetings not only include reviewing margins, cashflows and performance targets but we also spend time on other factors such as CRM, leadership, planning and decision processes to ensure our clients are constantly improving and evolving to meet the challenges of the future.
